LG's SnowWhite Ice Cream Maker

electronic gifts

At the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, LG unveiled its prototype personal ice cream maker, which it's calling "SnowWhite." This is an automated, pod-based system that promises to make frozen desserts in just two to five minutes. The machine can make different types of icecream, such as gelato, sherbet, and sorbet.

Although the product isn’t yet available for purchase, LG plans to release it soon. It will have a temperature-adjustable system to adjust for the type of dessert being made. It will also wash itself. But a few details are still unknown about how the device works, and whether it will contain real dairy.

SnowWhite can also make icecream and sherbet. LG says the system will let users choose which flavor they want to make, and the device will automatically adjust the temperature of the mix to ensure that the dessert tastes as intended.

LG states that the system uses capsules that are identical to those found in Keurig coffeemakers. Each pod contains yeast and hop oil as well as malt. These elements are intended to give the product the texture, taste and feel of homemade icecream. Some of these capsules may even be low-sugar.

The price of the SnowWhite is not yet known. LG has not provided a release date or estimated time to manufacture the product. It will release more information as it determines the viability of the product.

LG has been trying its hand in single-serve frozen ice cream machine sales for a while. It has also designed a beer-brewing pod machine. It is not aimed at a wider market, and has not had much success.

LG introduced the HomeBrew machine in 2019 at CES. It's pod-based, just like the SnowWhite. It isn't expensive, but it can make craft beers. It also automates the entire process of brewing, serving and cleaning.

The SnowWhite machine did not work when LG displayed it at the SXSW conference. Best Buy contacted the retailer to request a replacement crank. Best Buy also requested a duplicate of the original invoice. LG stated that the machine was able to create single-serve frozen ice cream despite these challenges.

While the prototype for LG's SnowWhite model is still in concept, it's possible that the product could be released on the market within the next few months. You can still visit an ice cream shop or make your own dessert.

It will depend on how well LG refines the SnowWhite ice-cream maker. If they can live up to their promises, this could be an alternative to Keurig.

Make sure your ice cream maker is safe to use in the dishwasher.
