LG's SnowWhite Ice Cream Maker

tech toys

LG showcased its prototype personal ice-cream maker, named "Snowwhite", at the SXSW conference held in Austin, Texas. This is an automated, pod-based system that promises to make frozen desserts in just two to five minutes. This machine can produce a variety flavors of frozen desserts, including gelato (sorbet), and sherbet.

While the product isn't yet available, LG hopes to launch it in the near future. It will use a system that adjusts the temperature to suit the type of dessert being made. The machine can also clean itself. There are still some details to be found about the device, including whether or not real milk will be added.

The SnowWhite can make ice cream and sherbet. LG claims that the system will allow users to choose the flavor they like, and will adjust the temperature of their mix to ensure that the dessert tastes right.

LG claims the system uses special capsules which look like the Keurig coffee maker's. Each pod contains yeast (hop oil), and malt. These elements are intended to give the product the texture, taste and feel of homemade icecream. Some of the capsules are low-sugar.

At the moment, there's no clear price point for SnowWhite. LG has not yet announced a release date and it is unclear how long the product will take to be made. As it works out its viability, more details should come out.

LG has been experimenting in single-serve icecream machine markets for some time. It also has a beer-brewing pod-style device. However, this machine is aimed at a more commercial audience, and it hasn't had much success.

LG revealed the HomeBrew machine during CES 2019. It's pod-based, just like the SnowWhite. It isn't expensive, but it can make craft beers. It automates the whole process for brewing and serving.

However, the SnowWhite device was not functioning when LG demonstrated it at SXSW. Best Buy asked for a replacement crank. The company also requested a copy the original invoice. LG stated that the machine was able to create single-serve frozen ice cream despite these challenges.

While the prototype for LG's SnowWhite model is still in concept, it's possible that the product could be released on the market within the next few months. In the meantime, though, you can visit a local ice cream parlor or make your own dessert.

Whether or not the SnowWhite ice cream maker ever becomes a reality depends on how much LG is able to refine the product. If they can deliver, it could be a viable alternative to Keurig.

Before you rush out to buy a new ice-cream maker, ensure it's safe for your dishwasher and quiet enough for children.
